Vaughan Sound is delighted to announce that the company has achieved BAFE SP203-1 accreditation.
We are now certified to the BAFE SP203-1 fire protection scheme, which covers the design, installation, commissioning/handover and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems.
BAFE (British Approvals for Fire Excellence) is responsible for developing, maintaining and promoting third party, UKAS accredited certification schemes for the fire safety industry.
Third party certification means that UKAS accredited certification bodies will independently and regularly assess the competence of providers such as ourselves to confirm they have the required quality management and technical capabilities to provide these essential services.
As an independent registration body, BAFE maintains a register of all certified companies and providers. The BAFE Fire Safety Register showcases a company’s credentials and competency.
It is an essential resource for business owners, property managers, facility managers, specifiers and others who require assistance in managing their fire safety responsibilities and obligations.
Installing an appropriate fire detection and alarm system in a non-domestic/business property and keeping this regularly maintained is listed as a requirement within national fire safety legislation.
By specifying appropriate BAFE Registered providers you can be confident you are using third party certificated companies with independently assessed evidence of competency for a specific service, following relevant quality standards and best working practice to help meet your fire safety obligations.
“Third party quality assurance can offer comfort, both as a means of satisfying you that the goods and services you have purchased are fit for purpose, and as a means of demonstrating that you have complied with the law.”— HM Government
