Vaughan Sound has provided Clydach’s Capel Y Nant with audio-visual and sound systems.
Aiming to be a chapel for the 21st century, an AV package – which incorporated a high output Optoma data projector to overcome the high ambient light levels present, a discreetly hidden screen and input points for PC and video sources – was installed in the main room.
The system enables the relaying of images and videos during services, with the audio connected to the new sound equipment.
Replacing the building’s dated sound system, Vaughan Sound specified a complete audio setup comprising of a TOA mixer amplifier, an Audio-Technica microphone for the pulpit with mic points also established in the sedd fawr, and AMIS cabinet loudspeakers in a white finish.
To house the audio and video equipment, a custom made cabinet in a real wood laminate finish was designed and installed.
The projector was incorporated within the chapel’s clock fascia, utilising existing timber from the original build to provide an unobtrusive solution.
Capel Y Nant is now able to offer its congregation enhanced audio and a new viewing experience during services.
