🔻 Design 🔻

Early design involvement is essential to project success.

We work with AutoCAD to create 2D and 3D drawings, schematics and cabling diagrams.

Vaughan Sound produces design drawings, setting out details and indicative containment and power requirements.

Our design team also operate Autodesk Revit software, working to BIM Level 2.

This software is integral to architectural design, MEP, structural design, detailing, engineering and construction, allowing us to create high quality, accurate AV designs.

Induction loops and hearing assist systems:
Vaughan Sound utilises dedicated advanced software to design our induction loop systems.

This web-based planning tool allows us to determine coverage, strength and overspill based upon set parameters such as room dimensions, ceiling heights and building materials.

We can provide comprehensive reports and illustrations which clearly detail the recommended amplifiers and loop patterns to use.

EASE:
For larger installations, Vaughan Sound can produce EASE models using industry standard electro-acoustical simulation software.

EASE modelling allows us to determine SPL (Sound Pressure Level) and STI (Speech Transmission Index) requirements.

The software assists greatly in identifying the best loudspeaker solutions for the application.

🔻 Specification 🔻

Vaughan Sound works with architects, designers, consultants, contractors and customers to select best in class product solutions to suit the needs of the end user.

M&E consultants and local authorities often come directly to us to assist them with the production of specifications for tender purposes.

We’re product agnostic and specify products based upon how best to realise the design brief, in line with the requirements for the particular space(s).

🔻 Budgetary costings 🔻

We know that clients often just require ballpark figures or approximate values, that they can take forward for further consideration or to assess in line with available capital.

Vaughan Sound provides budgetary costings to help give customers a steer, while also working hand in hand with them to enable effective funding and grant applications.

With 60 years of experience in the industry, we’re well placed to advise you on cost estimates for products, design fees, project management, installation, commissioning, testing, certification, ongoing service and maintenance, and much more.

🔻 Value Engineering 🔻

Project budgets change over time and spending on other key elements may mean that available capital for your AV scheme is reduced.

Where necessary, Vaughan Sound employs value engineering techniques to find like-for-like products and alternative solutions to meet stringent budgetary requirements.

We’re adept at finding the answers to your problems, with no detrimental impact on the performance of systems and the requirements of the technology.

🔻 Project Management 🔻

Some projects can often be complex in their nature, with numerous risks involved.

The successful integration of sound, communications and audio-visual systems requires excellent project management and professional expertise from highly trained individuals.

Vaughan Sound offers a range of essential project management services to ensure the efficient delivery of your scheme(s), helping you overcome the common challenges associated with audio-visual installations.

We act as a single point of contact to oversee liaison between all key parties – from designers to site personnel.

Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, we utilise dedicated project management software such as Fieldwire and Joblogic to closely monitor and track progress.

With robust ISO 9001 accredited processes in place, quality is central to our project management philosophy.

We provide project management support in CDM practices, access equipment, logistics, delivery and training.

Vaughan Sound also produces key project documentation including risk assessments, method statements, technical submittals, asset registries, warranties, and operation and maintenance manuals.

🔻 Supply 🔻

We’re a value added reseller and can provide a huge range of sound, communications and audio-visual products to suit your requirements.

With 60 years of experience in the industry, we’ve built longstanding relationships with leading distributors and manufacturers.

That means we enjoy significant buying power and can pass on those savings to our customers.

You can visit our Web Shop here. If you can’t see the particular product(s) you’re looking for then simply get in touch and we’ll find exactly what you need.

🔻 Integration 🔻

Integration is central to what we do.

We don’t just supply and fit a bunch of off the shelf products.

Instead we ensure that new technology becomes part of your ecosystem, blended seamlessly into your infrastructure.

Successful sound, communications and audio-visual system installations should enhance buildings and spaces, enriching the experiences of their users.

We bring together your sound, communications, AV, life safety, building management and other key systems and technology to deliver truly unified, functional, future-proof solutions.

Integration is so much more than simply connecting devices. It is the understanding of what is required to make our client’s spaces really work for them.

Vaughan Sound integrates systems that improve efficiency, increase productivity and become pivotal components in a building’s lifecycle.

🔻 Systems monitoring 🔻

Vaughan Sound can remotely monitor your systems and networks from our dedicated Network Operations Centre (NOC) – delivering instant support if a fault occurs.

Our network operations and systems monitoring teams keep a close eye on your audio-visual technology, so you don’t have to.

We work closely with our clients’ IT teams to enable access to remote networks, and implement a software based monitoring solution operated from our privately owned offices.

This comprises specialist manufacturers and proprietary software, as well as typical remote network troubleshooting tools.

Vaughan Sound reacts to issues as they arise and acts on early warnings.

In addition to closely monitoring hardware and software, we implement and utilise email alerting, maintaining dedicated monitoring accounts to escalate any concerns.

Operation of audio-visual systems for our clients typically allows us to action issues before these are even identified on site. We then tailor our reporting based around your specific requirements.

If our systems monitoring determines that a fault needs to be escalated then we immediately action this through our first line reactive maintenance model, ensuring you get the necessary support you need swiftly and efficiently.

🔻 Remote support 🔻

At Vaughan Sound we embed support thinking into our design methodologies, carefully considering post installation access and ease of future maintenance.

But complex electrotechnical systems often encounter issues during their lifetime – leaving you needing swift resolution to ensure continued operation of your sound, communications and audio-visual systems.

Vaughan Sound’s remote support services provide clients and end users with a first port of call in the event of an emergency.

Most of the time faults and issues can easily be resolved remotely by our dedicated support team – available 24/7/365.

Our remote support operatives will firstly look to fully understand the nature of the issue(s) reported. If immediate remote support and assistance can be given then it will be. Our first line support team provide much more than simply call logging and script reading.

Typically calls will be placed with our experienced engineers, who will offer immediate technical assistance – often seamlessly engaging second line support.

If for any reason within the scope of our remote / first line support it becomes clear that an engineer visit is required then this will be arranged instantly.

For clients who have provided us with remote access to their systems for management, monitoring and updates, Vaughan Sound’s network operations staff will assess status.

If feasible, we implement fixes immediately. Occasionally we may need the contact on site to act as our ‘eyes and ears’ to confirm that normal operation has been restored or feed back current status as we complete troubleshooting steps.

Acknowledgement and updates are processed through our support software, with all associated information appended to our management system, with reporting directly back to the end user(s) as agreed.

As a company boasting 60 years of experience in the industry, we’ve built strong, long-lasting relationships with key manufacturers and distributors. We can therefore call upon their expertise if necessary.

In the extremely rare event that a fault occurs during a live incident, our internal communication allows almost immediate access to key staff so that feedback can be given with a view to delivering optimal service.

On occasion we may call on manufacturers to attend site alongside Vaughan Sound engineers, and find this provides additional value to both our clients and supply chain relationships.

🔻 Planned preventative and reactive maintenance 🔻

Vaughan Sound’s guiding principles promote a mindset that seeks to proactively identify and resolve challenges before they require a reactive approach.

That’s where our Systems Monitoring and Remote Support come in.

However, we understand that many clients seek and often require planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance regimes to ensure systems remain in optimum working order.

We offer a wide range of planned preventative and reactive maintenance services and tailor packages according to the needs of the client / end user group.

Our maintenance programmes include engineer visits at regular intervals throughout the year, whereby all equipment installed by Vaughan Sound under contract will be thoroughly checked, tested and cleaned.

Vaughan Sound provides as standard: access equipment, site attendance, labour, testing, diagnostics, certification and reports using dedicated service audit software, loan equipment, calibration and software updates.

We can also include additional emergency call outs into a PPM schedule for mission critical failures.

While covered by a service level agreement, PPM customers also benefit from full access to our on call / out of hours engineering service and 24/7 call out facility – meaning we’ll get to you whatever time of day a problem occurs.

Reactive call outs for emergency repairs are offered at preferential response times and require an official purchase order upon request for attendance.
