Vaughan Sound has recently completed a voice alarm installation throughout Swansea Market.
Requested for the project by the local council, the team worked closely with electrical contractor NSE (Wales) Ltd to provide the market, which originally opened in 1961 following destruction to the previous site during the Second World War, with a TOA VX-2000 system.
Compliant with British Standards (BS 5839 Part 8), the equipment, which was successfully installed without disruption to the day-to-day trading of the market’s stalls and staff, has immensely improved the audio intelligibility within a difficult acoustic space.
With the end result exceeding expectations, the market’s management use the voice alarm system to its full capacity, regularly making trade and promotional announcements.
