Vaughan Sound has continued its work across some of the Principality Stadium’s key events and hospitality spaces, with the completion of audio-visual installations in the new Riverside Terrace.
The latest addition to the stadium’s premier facilities is located on Level 3, providing visitors with an unrivalled view of live events at the venue from padded seating in the middle tier.
Working to a project brief from the Principality Stadium Experience team and a design by Benchmark Designs Ltd, Vaughan Sound’s primary task involved enhancing the hospitality lounge’s background music system.
Incorporating existing equipment into the scheme following full inspection and testing, we were able to keep costs down and bring additional value to the project.
A new power amplifier and analogue sound mixer have been supplied and rack mounted alongside an existing 120W amplifier, which was relocated and reused.
Audio is distributed throughout the Riverside Terrace via the eight existing ceiling speakers, as well as four new cabinet loudspeakers.
Two wired microphone points have been installed by Vaughan Sound to allow easy connection for presenters, speakers, and live musicians. A pair of Sennheiser radio microphones complete the audio setup.
Seven large-format commercial displays are strategically positioned within the lounge. HDBaseT distribution has been delivered to each of these, with a scaling switcher installed and controlled from the room’s AV equipment rack.
The displays can be used to showcase company branding, broadcast special offers, or relay important information.
Vaughan Sound was also required to install an induction loop system for the hard of hearing, which involved the laying of a copper foil tape underneath the new flooring.

The industrial interior features raw materials throughout, emphasised by the copper laminate bar cladding, pendant lighting, and concrete/timber effect feature flooring.
