Vaughan Sound was recently invited to upgrade the voice alarm system at Swansea’s historic landmark the Guildhall.
Opening in 1934, the civic building, which also houses the highly-popular concert and events venue the Brangwyn Hall, featured an amplifier rack that was limited in performance and more than 15 years old.
Accordingly, Vaughan Sound in conjunction with MITIE Engineering Services and design consultants, McCann & Partners, replaced the existing equipment with a TOA VX-2000 system.
Compliant with EN 54 standards, which specify product and testing requirements for voice alarm components in fire detection and alarm systems, the product is highly efficient and reliable, constantly monitoring for faults and abnormalities.
