A trio of new Superbowl UK venues have opened after Vaughan Sound installed an array of audio-visual, sound and lighting equipment across the sites in Cardiff, Hull and Merthyr Tydfil.

Appointed by Berkshire-based developer QL Partnership Limited (QLP), we were initially asked to devise an audio-visual scheme for the £1.6m family entertainment complex at Stadium Plaza, adjacent to the Millennium Stadium in the Welsh capital’s Leisure Quarter.

Five projection screens were combined with Canon XEED WX6000 projectors, delivering 5700 ANSI lumens, strong colour brightness and superb image detail.

Philips commercial LED screens were also integrated along with Sedao SWEPV2 players complete with ImageFlyer software, allowing staff to prominently showcase prices, deals and key information.

A similar scheme was then completed at Superbowl UK’s Hull venue, with a further six projectors installed together with Sedao digital signage solutions and 42” LG commercial displays.

In the latest project in the portfolio, Superbowl UK Merthyr at Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Village offers 14 ten-pin bowling lanes, a soft play centre and a 24-pack Laser Quest Arena.

Here, Vaughan Sound was tasked with installing sound and effects lighting in addition to the digital signage, multimedia projection and 42” commercial TVs.

QLP also owns Superbowl UK venues in Great Yarmouth, Macclesfield and Widnes, with plans for further developments in the pipeline.
