Vaughan Sound has integrated multimedia projection and digital signage at one of the newest leisure ventures in Cardiff city centre.
Cardiff Superbowl is a £1.6m family entertainment complex based at Stadium Plaza on Wood Street, adjacent to the Millennium Stadium and in the heart of the city’s Leisure Quarter.
It boasts 12 stunning bowling lanes including four VIP lanes, Laser Quest, a stylish lounge and sports bar, plus an amusements and arcade games area.
Vaughan Sound was appointed by Berkshire-based developer QL Partnership Limited to devise and install an audio-visual scheme to enhance the customer experience, meeting the client’s brief in providing a state-of-the-art leisure environment.
Five projection screens have been paired with Canon projectors over the bowling lanes. The XEED WX6000 models were chosen as they incorporate LCOS and AISYS technology to deliver WXGA+ resolution and 5700 ANSI lumens, offering strong colour brightness and superb image detail.
Commercial LED screens were also fitted, along with Sedao digital signage players complete with ImageFlyer software, allowing Cardiff Superbowl to prominently showcase prices, deals and key information.
On site client training was provided, whilst Vaughan Sound’s works were completed with the addition of full HD Sky TV distribution to the displays in the bar.
QLP, which already has similar centres in Great Yarmouth, Macclesfield and Widnes, is set to open a further venue in Hull in May.
