Vaughan Sound has recently completed an audio and lighting installation at Bridgend College’s state-of-the-art Sony Theatre.
Situated on the main campus, the 400-seat venue features an impressive 3D screen and is the only college-based facility within the UK to boast this sophisticated technology. Available to the learning institution’s School of Creative Arts for cinema and production use, Vaughan Sound was invited to further enhance the entertainment environment with sound, lighting and communication equipment.
Working closely with Gravan Construction and RDM Electrical, the theatre was supplied with a d&b specialist sound system, complete with a combination of carefully distributed E15X, E12 and E8 loudspeakers, providing excellent coverage for a wide range of events.
Additionally, a Sennheiser infrared hearing support and translation system was installed to assist with audio and communication, along with a paging and show relay package which was specified to the front and back of house.
The team also provided the venue with a lighting infrastructure, including internally wired lighting bars, Zero 88 dimming and control, and stage curtains, efficiently equipping the theatre for live events.
