Vaughan Sound was recently invited by main contractor Carillion to supply Cowbridge Comprehensive School with stage lighting, sound, audio-visual and multimedia presentation systems.
Situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, the secondary school wanted effective and easy-to-use equipment for its main hall and dance, rehearsal and recording studios, which are available to students and staff, as well as the local community.
Working closely with Ron Maclean of Davis Langdon and Peter Thomas of Arup to realise the scheme, the main hall was provided with fully-furnished lighting bars and versatile luminaires, along with a multimedia projection system and integrated sound reinforcement. The studios received portable systems, complete with a range of microphones suitable for communal use throughout the school.
Impressed with the outcome, Deputy Head Teacher Julian Davis said: “Vaughan Sound provided an excellent pre-installation process. The choice of equipment matched our needs, budget and future expectations exactly and they provided a very cost-effective solution.”
