Vaughan Sound has completed the supply, installation and commissioning of a new fire alarm system at Gestamp Tallent Limited in Llanelli.
The company, which designs, develops and manufactures chassis and suspension products, modules and systems for the automotive industry, required a new system for their offices and stores.
Following a site visit at the plant, which is in close proximity to Vaughan Sound headquarters, a suitable system was proposed which meets the requirements of BS 5839-1:2013 for fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings.
The Ground Floor Rest Area received four optical heat detectors complete with SEN-770 sounder, whilst a further seven models were fitted in the Stores, CM Area, Test Area and Meeting Room on this level, along with S4-700 detector bases. SEN-809 manual call points were also installed in four Ground Floor areas.
Another eight detectors were installed by Vaughan Sound in the First Floor Rest Area, Meeting Room and Offices, with two further manual call points provided in the Rest Area.
A SenTRI Two control panel, which can be configured with up to two detection loops, complete with loop card and two 12V 12AH batteries completed the install.
All detectors were fitted with built in sounders to provide adequate coverage throughout, whilst the control panel has the potential to be extended in the future and is networkable through the installation of additional cards.
The project adds to Vaughan Sound’s extensive portfolio of industrial installations.
